As I write this it’s the middle of January. Good intentioned resolutions have already been made and broken all over the place. But new beginnings can happen at any time of the year and these new beginning quotes are the perfect inspiration. This collection of nine pretty (free) watercolor quotes about new beginnings will remind you of the possibilities of each day!
Why wait a whole year for a fresh start….
I’m not a resolution girl. Well, just not necessarily a “New Year’s” resolution girl. The date seems arbitrary to me. But I love a fresh start as much as anyone. Fresh starts can come at anytime. Monday, a fresh start. First day of a new month, a fresh start. Every single morning, a fresh start! I hope these pretty printable new beginning quotes will inspire you to look at every day like it’s full of possibility!
My kind of fresh start….
My ideas of a resolution are usually on the small-ish side. (But can feel gigantic.) I recently heard the quote that a mom is only as happy as her unhappiest child. SO true.
I have four children. That means at any given time there’s pretty much a 98% chance that one of my kids feels slighted about something or is generally out of sorts. It’s always something for someone. That’s normal, right? I really struggle not to soak up those negative emotions and let them turn my day sour, no matter how good I may have been feeling.
My idea of starting over rarely has to do with exercise or diet or typical resolution-y things, but usually has more to do with attitude. Staying positive and not allowing kids to pull me down the pooper with them is pretty much the goal of mom-dom for me right now. The gift of a new day…
If you like inspirational type books to keep you feeling positive and enjoying the gift of a new day check out Only Love Today: Reminders to Breathe More, Stress Less, and Choose Love by Rachel Macy Stafford. I love this book. I have it and have given several copies as gifts. It’s all about the enjoying the gifts around you; a new day, a healthy kid, a hot cup of coffee., the little stuff.
I am a Christian and like to think of myself as a pretty forgiving person but perhaps less so when it comes to cutting myself some slack. The self love/forgiveness message in this book really speaks to me. We’re all doing the best we can. Each day is a new beginning. Take that new beginning and do the best we can with it. We are human and totally imperfect and that’s okay.
