What is a big mouth drawing prompt?
These Halloween drawing prompts are what I refer to as “big mouths.” They print in black and white on standard 8.5 x 11 paper. Of course, should your young artists choose they can leave the pages flat and color or draw as is. But the real fun comes when a few paper folds are added in.
Fold the paper in half on the center line that’s marked at the edge of each prompt. Then fold the top quarter of the paper back toward the top on the lines suggested. This creates a fold that “hides” the inner portion of the page. That fold can be lifted or lowered to reveal the inside of the “big mouth” or closed to show a silly Halloween character.

These Halloween drawing prompts are the ultimate in a low maintenance creativity prompt. Grab pencils, markers, crayons- whatever is handy and your kids are ready to go. The Halloween faces are quick and easy to color. The inside of those “big mouths” is just waiting to be filled with anything your young artist can imagine.
