Look, Draw, and Learn- Drawing Experiences for Kids

I can’t wait to walk your students through four fun feature projects that each focus on a different drawing experience.

These are skills and techniques that your student will be able to apply not only in these projects but in all of their future artwork!

Best of all…. all of these projects can be completed with just pencil and paper!

This course is made for elementary through middle school students who want to focus on building basic drawing skills and techniques.

These lessons are perfect for those wanting to provide a rich art experience for their young people without investing in a ton of supplies. This entire unit can be done with just pencil, paper, and a ruler!

This unit comes with downloadable videos which makes it perfect for teachers. This means safe, ad free videos that teachers can share via their own platforms, like Google Classroom.

A basic drawing class has long been my most requested offering. It’s here with Look Draw, and Learn!  The most basic supply list (paper, pencil, and ruler) opens the door for your student to learn drawing techniques that they can use in this class and far beyond!

Four feature projects each focus on one drawing technique or experience. From the more technical one point perspective to the fun, and sometimes silly, contour drawing process your child will take part in a well rounded drawing experience.  Grab your pencil and let’s draw!

Growing a growth mindset through the creative arts

Growing a Growth Mindset Through the Creative Arts will walk you through four complete video lessons designed to encourage a growth mindset.  (I do the teaching!) Lessons are complete with printable lesson packs. (You can teach too!)

This course isn’t  about mastering specific techniques.  These creative experiences are all about learning to use art as a tool for examining yourself, growing, and dreaming! Growing a Growth Mindset Through the Creative Arts is a perfect first step in using the visual arts as a form of self expression.

This course is made for elementary through middle school students who want to focus on using the creative arts as an avenue to self expression and understanding.  These growth mindset art lessons are all about exploring our brains, our hearts, and our dreams.  There is no one right answer in art- it’s the perfect place to explore taking risks!

These lessons are perfect for those wanting to provide a rich art experience for their young people without investing in a ton of supplies.  Simple art materials– I’m talking washable markers, a black permanent marker, paper, and scissors are all you need for this entire unit.

The videos lessons may also be used in a small classroom setting- i.e. homeschool co-ops.

This post has links to all my growth resources- the paid course as well as many free resources.

Do you have a perfectionist kid that doubts every mark they make when it comes to art class?  Maybe they even doubt simple everyday decisions.  Imagine using art as a tool to help them develop a little faith in themselves and their abilities.  It’s possible!  These four lessons will encourage your kiddo to explore their brains, their hearts, and their dreams.

Maybe your kiddo has taken their share of art classes already.  They’ve learned vocabulary and some basic techniques but now they’re ready to create art that has some meaning to them.  The lessons in this Growing a Growth Mindset are all about creating art that’s personal to their own strength, dreams, and “not yets.”
