Who’s ready to start a new year? These New Year’s printables are the perfect way to record memories of 2023 and look forward into 2024

These are the bits to remember!

I’ve never been big on making New Year’s resolutions.  I don’t know that I’ve ever made one in my life except when prompted by a teacher’s request upon return to school from Christmas break.  I’m not planning on coaxing my kids write down silly rules for themselves that they have no intention of keeping for the sake of making them “better” in the coming year.  That’s not what these new years printables are for!

While I know my kids can cut, and paste, and do all sorts of crazy things with numbers.  What I really love is work that shows a little peek inside who my child is at that moment.  I want to remember what they loved, what they look forward to, basically what matters to them.

New Year’s reflections…

These New Years printables are short and painless.  (I don’t know about you but my kids drag their feet when things look long & time consuming. It sucks the fun right of trying to remember how sweet they are right now!)  My youngest may dictate his answers to me or even draw a picture or two while my older kids will complete them on their own.

How does your family celebrate New year’s Eve?

I will admit I am a bit of a New Year’s scrooge.  A holiday built around a party makes the introvert in me wanna grab a good book or refresh my Pinterest feed.  I have to say as I get older I do see how fast time flies.  I look at my older boys (15 & 13) and realize we don’t have that many years under the same roof together.  (Sob.)

So, I’m soaking up all the little details.  I’m enjoying New Years Eve as a family day minus the party. I’m remembering the best of 2023 while looking forward to an amazing 2024 ahead!
