Whether you’re a homeschool mama (like me,) or a classroom teacher (also me,) or mom that is excited to learn alongside her kids (me too, me too) I hope these education quotes can help you illustrate your love of learning!

I have always had a love of learning.  When I was young there was a note on file at our small town local library that I was allowed to check out anything I wanted, not just kid’s books as the librarian suggested.  I wanted to read it all.  Passing that love of reading and learning on to our four kids is a big deal to me.

Mama as teacher…

Education is a big deal in our house.  I used to be a teacher, my mother was a teacher.  I literally grew up in the classroom.  These days we’re no longer a part of our local school system.  We left it behind to teach our kids at home.  Yep, we’re crazy homeschoolers.

What we do everyday, how my kids learn, is definitely different than the norm.  Their life experiences will be a bit different.  I’m okay with that, glad for it, actually.  Our reasons for homeschooling were not social, or religious.  Although I would be lying if I said I don’t miss some of the peer pressure and social drama of school days.

Hello learning…

In large our reasons for leaving the system were academic.  My husband and I want to instill a curiosity, a love of finding out new information that is certainly not exclusive to homeschoolers although I think it is getting harder and harder to breed in the school setting.

Education Quotes….

These quotes sum up how I feel about learning new things and how that happens best in an organic, creative way.  Whether you identify with one of them or all twelve, please, use them!  Hang them in your classroom, homeschool room, make them into notebooks covers, or whatever floats your boat.

In the same boat….

Whether you’re a teacher or a homeschool parent we’re all looking for the same thing, right?  Ways to inspire our kids to want to learn!  I’m not talking about learning to study or take notes or learning to memorize the answers for a test.

Inspiring real learning is lighting a fire, a thirst for new ideas and information.  Real learning is a creative process that’s hard to nail down but amazing to see when it happens!

The awesome (and super difficult) thing about learning is that every kid is different.  What works for child number one may do nothing for child number two.  Sorting through that process as a parent and teacher can be daunting but is so worth it!
